Their album, Harlow Marlow Volume 1, a namesake melodic crusade, devised to secure the legacy of “Salsa Dura” (hardcore Salsa) was released on March 18th and quickly debuted in the #7 spot on Billboard’s Tropical Album Chart.

I won a Grammy with ‘Salsa Dura’. All four [of my] records are ‘Salsa Dura’. I think I’m protecting this idea of ‘Salsa Dura’ because this is a genre I love,” the two-time Grammy Award-winner asserts.

In addition the man known as “El Salsanimal” has managed to forge his own legacy, while defending the crown of “Salsa Dura” along with his fellow salseros.

Now 77, Harlow is as busy as ever. There are two band tours and one book tour on his immediate horizon.A new album featuring he and multi-Grammy Award winning artist Marlow Rosado, called “Harlow Marlow Volume One” will be released at the end of the month and promoted with a 12-city release tour. Volume Two, which Harlow also co-produced, is scheduled for release later this year.

El Tucán, a modern-day cabaret in Miami, presents the rhythm of Cuba by hosting a historic three-day performance by El Tropicana de Cuba. More than a dozen dancers will take the stage Dec. 31 and Jan. 1-2 in their famous feathered headdresses and extravagant costumes as the group prepares for its 2016 world tour.

El Tucán, a modern-day cabaret in Miami, presents the rhythm of Cuba by hosting a historic three-day performance by El Tropicana de Cuba. More than a dozen dancers will take the stage Dec. 31 and Jan. 1-2 in their famous feathered headdresses and extravagant costumes as the group prepares for its 2016 world tour.

Grammy award-winning Marlow Rosado and El Tucán’s 11-piece house band will play alongside them. At a pivotal time in U.S.-Cuba relations, this marks the first performance by the Tropicana dancers in the states in 32 years.

Actor was spotted dining and giving an impromptu performance at El Tucán

Once Marlow Rosado & The Tucán Band took the stage, Smith joined in on the dance floor before getting the crowd going as he jumped on stage and started freestyling to Latin beats alongside Grammy Award-winning producer/performer Rosado, who leads the venue’s 11-piece band. Once the show ended, Smith went backstage, where he offered to take pictures with every cast member.

Consolidado como el centro fiestero de la ciudad, Brickell es donde “El Tucán” abrió sus puertas este viernes para captar a un público ávido de revivir el ambiente del cabaret cubano de los años 40, donde la gente iba a bailar, a cenar y a ver un show.

Para Menocal hacer realidad El Tucán, con la ayuda del talento creativo que reunió para esta tarea, tomó un año y medio. Entre ellos está el compositor y productor ganador de Grammys, Marlow Rosado, con quien trabajó para hacer la curaduría musical del local.
